Our Favorite Mountain Bike Trails
Sedona offers one of the most electrifying bike trail spots in the country with
breathtaking views for everyone from beginners to experts to enjoy. Our area, The
Villages of Oak Creek, is recognized for having some of the best trails for all fitness
and skill levels. These exciting mountain bike trails start from a trail spur at our
back porch.
We offer secure bike storage in our garage with 24-hour access, or you may choose
to rent a bike from Sedona Bike and Bean or Absolute Bikes which are both less than
a five-minute walk from The Cozy Cactus.
Bell Rock Trail
The Bell Rock Trail is the easiest of all Sedona bike trails and a fabulous ride for
beginners or a fun family bike tour. Parking is a problem for others, but the trail
head is less than five minutes by bike from The Cozy Cactus.
Slim Shady Trail
Slim Shady Trail offers an enjoyable 2.6-mile riding experience for beginners and
intermediate riders. The trail is a two-way route.
Hiline
Hiline is a must ride trail for the experience rider. The peak offers a marvelous view
with an end in a plateau. The real challenge lies in the last mile which features a
loose chute and steep riding close to a jagged rock.
Llama Trail
The Llama Trail has an intermediate route difficulty rating and features a
spectacular backdrop along its 2.9 miles long route. From our trail spur, it is a short
ride to the Bell Rock Trail. From there, the Llama Trail offers a scenic ride through
mountains and butte, passes a plateau, and provides an incredible view of the
beautiful Cathedral rock.
Templeton Trail
Templeton Trail starts right from where the Bell Rock trail stops and continues until
you reach Cathedral Rock. There is no preferred direction for the 3.5 miles long
route and is a great connector for several other trails. You will see the beautiful
Courthouse Butte along the trail and is a fun climbing experience for the
intermediate users.
